NY’s summer is much more bearable and nicer than Japan's summer. I've not been feeling good lately. I feel like I got a cold. It looks like a bad cold is going around in my school.
Nowadays we have many classmates who came from Europe just for summer season. meeting new people is really nice but at the same time, there's some kind of farewell party every weekend which makes me feel both financial burden and psychological burden.
In situation like this, the most important thing is doing things at my own pace. Whereas study English is emphasizing most on business communication as well as spoken English. That is why I decided to take Anthony's private lesson for 10 times.
It was really hard but tuned out to be very useful and effective to improve my English skill. Although the private lesson fee was high which was $50 per lesson.
In every lesson I was basically given to make a choice what I'm going to do, so I requested Anthony to discuss business topics, which were topics from Herald Tribune. And also emphasizing on my pronunciation as well.
Anthony's teaching style is very strict especially when it comes to pronunciation. whenever I made mistakes he collected me immediately.
The most hardest question was when I tried to make a presentation about PEPSI AMERICA as a last assignment of private session with Anthony. It took a while to make a handout by using Powerpoint. Anyway as my first presentation in English It was definitely a great experience for me.
The other effort that I do as a English practice is reading books by myself in terms of business topics and technical term, I can learn a lot from reading books which won't be able to learn in English Conversation School.
The book that now I'm reading is "Profit Patterns" which my favorite Japanese author "Masanori Kanda" recommended this book at some article that I red before. The book is about how to make a profit using thirty different way and pattern that will bring significantly changes or breakthrough in your company.
Of course I used "Photo Reading" to read this book which mean, If could understand 10% of it, It would be very good result.
"HAROLD AND KUMAR"を凌ぐ、コメディーに早くも出会いました！！ ”YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN”だ。 タイトルを訳すると、ZOHANをなめたら痛い目にあうぞ！！みたいな。 なんてこったい、映画人生の中で一番爆笑した映画かも知れません。（本当は少林サッカーが一番だけど映画館に行っていないので） 残念ながらこれも日本での後悔は微妙です。

Hi I saw a great comedy movie which is called "YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN" . I'm sure that this was the one of funniest movie I have seen so far. I would say it is more funnier than "HAROLD AND KUMAR".
But one thing makes me sad that the movie will probably never be shown in Japan. because of many disgusting scene in the movie, also the main story of the movie shows political and religious conflict between Israel and Pakistan in a way of making fun, which could be viewed as a discriminatory expression in Japan. These kind of movies will be strictly regulated by Japanese movie industries.
Anyway, in my opinion, this was a great comedy. not only the reason that I laughed too much, also Mariah Carry and John Mckenlow(ex-professional tennis player) were in this movie as cameo!!
Hi As the summer festivals in NY, it offers many outdoor programs. like free movie event in Central park and Bryant Park, also fire works at many locations.
I heard that the scale of Manhattan is the same as scale of Setagaya City in Tokyo. so that, I can get easily anywhere of Manhattan by subway. In many ways, I might not need to even take a subway. Lately, I went clubbing two times, both of two times were very special and impressive party.
The one of them was the event of Junior Vasques@Cielo, who was considered as the king of Hard House Music scene. Back in the day, for the first time when Junior came over to Japan to play DJ, I went out of my way to wait in long line to buy an expensive ticket for his DJ.
I hard that his DJ became less popular these days in NY, also it was free that if you were be able to get into Cielo until 12AM, so I got there in the nick of time.
Even though the fact that he is already 70 years old, but his DJ style and Cielo's sound system were best combination. but I felt really sad to see that there weren't bigger crowd than I had imaged.
As you can see in pic, it obvious that there no gay people who were die hard audience at the time in 90's. I assumed that that is the reason of now the few audience in his party.
Speaking of second party, that was held on the board and DJ was Danny krivit. the board left from west mid side of Manhattan by 8PM, came back to the same place that we left on. It was the great experience to me, and I had a lot of fun, because, not only the reason that I heard Danny's play for the fist time, also the fact that I had heard music on the board for the first time. in addition, I took many picture around of NY.such as the statue of Liberty and all that. another interesting moment was that when the board passed by near the statue of Liberty, everybody on the board wanted take picture of it, in the result the board tip to one side!!
